Fred Hunter

Having earned a degree in Environmental, Population, and Organismic Biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Fred has had a lifelong focus on natural systems and life sciences.  He founded and operated Dreamscape Santa Barbara from 1989 through 2017 and has specialized in waterwise, ecologically sustainable, and regenerative landscape practices through out his career.   In addition to serving as ReGen Co-op’s CEO and contractor, Fred is an adjunct faculty member at Santa Barbara City College in the Environmental Horticulture Department and an instructor with Sweetwater Collaborative. Fred is also the lead certified permaculture designer and managing partner of the Finca Alazan regenerative farm project in Playon Sur, Costa Rica
